Some people just want to watch the world burn. Or, in this case, Buy Lots. Jeff COULD have done something to help put out that fire, but let’s face it- it was just easier to give in to temptation and let it burn.
We had an AMAZING weekend at Cherry Capital Con- THANK YOU SO MUCH to all who came out and supported us! We met a lot of new faces, and hopefully some of them will be joining us for our weekly shenanigans! I am excited, humbled and shocked that we sold 60% of our initial print run of Volume 1 this weekend alone!
Jeff and I sat across from the super-cool Tony and Kara Moore (Yes, Walking Dead co-creator Tony Moore), which led to Jeff losing his voice by the end of Saturday from yelling empty threats at them from his seat… and then Kara and Jeff began throwing stuff at each other from behind their tables. It was a blast!
My own personal highlights from the weekend: Daniel Way (Deadpool writer), Jeremy Bastian (Cursed Pirate Girl writer/artist) and Kara Moore (all around general badass) all bought a copy of our book. So, yeah, if you don’t own a copy, you totally should get one… ’cause all the cool kids have it now.
We will be revamping the merch portion of the site soon so that you may pick up a copy of the book, some of our nifty pint glasses, or a print or two… or ten. Look for it soon! Also, Volume 1 will be available on Amazon in the coming weeks as well.
IMPORTANT: THE CBG FAN AWARD VOTING CLOSES THIS THURSDAY, 5-31. If you haven’t voted yet, please follow the link in the right sidebar and vote for us for “Favorite Webcomic”.
Again, thank you to EVERYONE for supporting us- we love you guys!
I also got a man-hug from Ryan Stegman at C3. It was awesome.

::ahem:: Jim McClain bought a copy of your book, too, though he will never write Deadpool.
Jim McClain DID buy a copy of the book! He was a super-cool guy with a really sharp-looking webcomic called Solution Squad. Everyone should go check it out at http://www.solutionsquad.net !
Also, The guys from webcomics The Bait, Side Quest and Gapo the Clown, along with creators Ryan Lee, Guy Allen, 11/88 Studios, and Curt Neeb also picked up their copy of Punching the Clock. Find their links in the sidebar to the right and check out their stuff! They are awesome for supporting us, so let’s return the favor!
Members of the 501st Legion also bought your book….
Multiple copies, in fact! The 501st folks are CONSISTENTLY AWESOME AND SUPPORTIVE! That, and that Ripcode guy is one sexy mother…
This could become a long thread if everyone that bought your book needs credit. I mean come on, if you didn’t buy the book you failed hard. Then again if you didn’t it was probably because Rob wasn’t at his table….
In addition I will add that Ryan Stegman must love me more than you as the highlight of the weekend was when Ryan was leaving he requested a kiss on the cheek from Corey and I.
